Green Deal Assessment

In order to qualify for Green Deal finance or an ECO Grant your property will first have to undergo a Green Deal Assessment. This will have to be done by an accredited Green Deal Assessor and will normally incur a charge, although we might be able to help with this.

The assessment will produce a Green Deal advice report. This is made up of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which ranks your home’s energy efficiency on a scale of A to G, and an Occupancy Assessment, which assesses how you use energy in your home. 

An assessment for Green Deal finance requires both an Energy Performance Certificate and an Occupancy Certificate, whilst an assessment for an ECO Grant may only require an Energy Performance Certificate.

To make the assessment the assessor will need to ask you questions including how many people live in your home, what energy efficiency measures are already installed and whether your home is in a conversation area or built in a non-traditional way.

As part of our service we have established a panel of independent accredited Green Deal Assessors who we are able to call on to undertake these Green Deal Assessments. Even better if the assessment results in an energy efficiency measure installed by us then we will pay all of the cost of the assessment.
